Caitlin Fitz-Maurice

Caitlin has deposed and defended health professionals at depositions in relation to mass tort litigation. She has also prepped, qualified, and questioned health professionals in jury and bench trials while assisting them with preparing expert reports as part of pre-trial discovery. With her experience taking cases to trial, she has the ability to understand the bigger picture of a case’s progression and fearlessly forge ahead, while always maintaining the client’s best interests at the forefront. Further, coupling her experience at trials with her experience working alongside victims, she is able to balance a winning mentality with the client’s wishes.

As a criminal prosecutor in Montgomery County, Caitlin was a member of the Pottstown Community Justice Unit where she was responsible for prosecuting serious major, narcotics, firearm, family, and economic crimes arising out one of the most high-crime areas of the county. Her role was to simultaneously work with the community from the infancy of a case to reduce the crime rate and encourage trust and cooperation with prosecution for both witnesses and defendants in the community where treatment may be the more viable option. Caitlin tried cases involving homicide, shootings, felony gun and drug possession, domestic violence, and a home invasion robbery. During her time as a prosecutor, she tirelessly worked with victims through the length of a case. She also managed a large caseload from making sure a case is properly charged after a thorough investigation to reaching the right resolutions considering the safety and future of the community. 

While in law school, Caitlin interned for a Federal District Court Judge in Maryland working on civil financial matters, the District of Justice concerning the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the civil division of the Attorney General’s office in Arizona, and the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. She also participated in moot court competition and what is now the Business and Finance Law Review.
