Elizabeth L. Ferguson

Liz focuses her practice on first and third-party complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation. She advises clients on litigating commercial general liability, excess coverage, and reinsurance disputes. Liz manages complex civil litigation cases involving class action, employment, and construction defect matters in both federal and state courts. She represents insurers in all aspects of the coverage process, from initial coverage determinations to appellate briefing.

Prior to practicing insurance litigation, Liz handled complex civil litigation involving employment, construction, property damage and personal injury matters.

• Mediated the reduction of a $130 million bad faith failure to settle verdict to a settlement for 30% of the jury award
• Represented insurer in opposing the consolidation of nationwide COVID-19 business interruption coverage disputes into multi-district litigation
• Defended insurer in coverage litigation in New Jersey federal court arising out of talcum powder use
