OVERVIEW
Matthew Mazza is an associate in the Litigation practice group, focusing on catastrophic loss, healthcare, products liability, premises liability and commercial litigation. He has experiencing managing day to day litigation defense strategies, aiding in motion practices in the long-term healthcare industry as well as handling various judicial proceedings, oral arguments, court mandated hearings and Ferreira conferences. He has also handled multiple aspects of medical malpractice defense, including depositions, discovery, medical record review and trial preparation.
As a litigator, Matt has drafted discovery responses, motions, legal briefs, pleadings, contracts and intricate legal memoranda for clients. Matt has extensive experience reviewing medical documents, government records, and facilitating client interaction. Matt has also participated in mediations, arbitrations, negotiations, oral arguments, court proceedings and depositions.
Prior to joining White and Williams, Matt has experience as a litigation associate at a premier law firm in Southern New Jersey. In his practice, Matt represented insurance companies and their insureds in a diverse array of civil litigation matters. Prior to practice, Matt served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas J. Walls, Jr. in the New Jersey Superior Court, Mercer County Family Division. Throughout his clerkship he engaged in extensive legal research and analysis to assist Judge Walls in resolving complex issues of New Jersey law and handling a very active docket.
