OVERVIEW

Victoria Ranieri is an associate in the Commercial Litigation practice at White and Williams. Prior to joining the firm, Victoria served as National Program Counsel for a large Employment Practices Liability Insurance policy, managing a docket of approximately 350 claims yearly, managed insurance coverage issues, including writing coverage opinions for claims, evaluating insured's right of choice of counsel and monitoring defense counsel's defense of claims. She also represented defendants at all stages of litigation in Massachusetts courts with a focus on employment matters, secured defense verdicts at trial and represented employers before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the EEOC in a variety of discrimination, harassment and retaliation matters including handling mediations, drafting position statements and defending clients during the investigative process. Additionally, Victoria has provided pre-litigation strategic advice to clients, including partnering with clients to implement and update employee handbooks and assisted in implementing employer Paid Family and Medical Leave Policies compliant with Massachusetts law.

Victoria has also served as a supervising trial attorney for the Committee for Public Counsel Services where she has tried fifteen cases as lead counsel in Essex Country District and Superior Courts on behalf of clients charged with a variety of criminal offenses, supervised staff attorneys for trial preparations, conducted one on one meetings with individual supervisees to review case preparations and performances and presented in-office trainings.
