How Can Colleges and Universities "Stay" Open: Lessons from the Pandemic

There is no doubt the pandemic has caused great uncertainty when it comes to the education system. Since the pandemic hit the United States in March, higher education institutions around the country have diligently been working on plans and policies surrounding the 2020-2021 school year. Partnering with the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey's (CIANJ's) Higher Education Forum (the Forum), White and Williams attorneys Jim Anelli, Nancy Conrad and George Morrison will present a virtual program discussing the issues that colleges and universities will face in the coming months, including:

• CDC recommendations for higher education institutions;
• Best practices for being on campus and handling outbreaks;
• Understanding and mitigating the risks associated with COVID-19; and
• What the claims profile is under state and federal law.
