8.3.15

The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia recently welcomed the Honorable R. Gil Kerlikowske, Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, to a business roundtable discussion at White and Williams’ Philadelphia office. The discussion included CBP's impact to the economy and pressing issues and trends facing the Greater Philadelphia Region. CBP has direct responsibility for enhancing U.S. economic competitiveness. By reducing costs for industry and enforcing trade laws against counterfeit, unsafe, and fraudulently entered goods, CBP is working to enable legitimate trade, contribute to American economic prosperity, and protect against risks to public health and safety.

A long-time supporter of the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, White and Williams was pleased to host this important discussion which included members of the Greater Philadelphia business community. Gary Biehn, Chair of the International Practice Group, was appointed WTCGP Board Chair in November 2014 and is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Metro Export Plan Steering Committee, a group charged with creating an action plan to advance the Greater Philadelphia Region as a hub for global business.
