Daniel Ferhat Elected President of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel
On June 2, 2020, members of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel (PADC) elected Partner Dan Ferhat as their new President for the 2020-2021 year. Dan previously served as Vice President, and prior to that, as Secretary of the organization.
As President, Dan will oversee the operations of the 73-year-old organization composed of nearly 300 defense lawyers from Philadelphia and its surrounding counties who practice in tort and insurance law. As an “Outstanding Organization,” named by the Defense Research Institute, the PADC promotes community involvement, legislative and judicial reform, court improvements and professional and social support for its members.
Dan, who practices in the firm’s Healthcare and Litigation groups, is a trial lawyer defending hospitals, physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners against professional liability claims at the trial court and appellate court levels. He also defends corporations and other commercial enterprises against premises liability lawsuits.
