White and Williams is pleased to announce that Joseph Foster has been named a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award by The Legal Intelligencer.

Each year, The Legal recognizes attorneys who have “collectively moved forward the legal profession in the state, helped foster the legal education of younger attorneys and stood as examples of some of the best virtues of Pennsylvania attorneys.”

With more than 50 years experience to his credit, Joe is a veteran trial lawyer who has specialized in medical malpractice defense, defending insurance carriers in a variety of matters. Outside of the courtroom, Joe is known for his coordination of over 40 "McGillins meetings," bringing together White and Williams lawyers with district and state attorneys, judges, representatives and other dignitaries for in-house CLE programs. Joe has a long history of involvement with many legal and business organizations, including serving as Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association in 1981.

The 2015 award recipients were announced by The Legal on March 9th and honored on May 20th at a celebratory dinner.
