Kelly Phillips Erb, Counsel, Recently Interviewed About Success with Blog, “Taxgirl”

In a recent interview published in Tax Notes, a portfolio of publications offered by Tax Analysts, White and Williams Kelly Phillips Erb, Counsel, shared her unique perspective on building “Taxgirl,” one of the internet’s most popular tax-based influencing platforms, and the journey to where she is today.

Kelly, who has worked at White and Williams for over a year now, created her platform “Taxgirl,” to share her take on some of the biggest stories in the world of tax policy.

Over the years, the blog has evolved past small facts and opinions about the tax industry to become a reputable source of tax news and information that is a favorite of the American Bar Association and read by countless taxpayers.

Throughout her career, Kelly has worn a number of hats, including tax attorney, blogger, podcaster and editor.

Kelly’s work has appeared in several highly affiliated news publications, such as CNN Money, National Public Radio’s Marketplace, BBC, Time, Forbes Magazine, Esquire, Martha Stewart’s Living, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the ABA Journal. Currently, she is a Senior Writer for Forbes Magazine where she has a column in which she shares news and tips to help taxpayers and tax professionals to stay informed.

She was named in the Philadelphia Business Journal’s "40 Under 40" category and was also named as one of the Global Tax 50 by the International Tax Review for her "tireless and passionate tax reporting."

Kelly explained that a good portion of what makes her such a strong writer and advisor in the world of taxes is the ability to find balance staying on top of current events while remembering who these policies impact.
