Randy Maniloff Teaching Insurance Law At Temple Law School

White and Williams is pleased to announce that Randy Maniloff, counsel in the Commercial Litigation department, is serving as an adjunct faculty member at Temple University Beasley School of Law, teaching Insurance Law. Unlike most insurance law classes, which address several types of policies and regulation, Maniloff’s class has a singular focus – liability insurance coverage. “The class is designed to teach the students where the dollars come from to fund most tort judgments in this country,” Maniloff said. “The course is meant to be a continuation of torts,” Maniloff explained. “I wanted to teach a very practical class. What could be more practical than teaching law students how a lot of money in the legal system changes hands?”

Maniloff, having never taught in law school, is looking forward to the experience of teaching a two hour weekly class. “There are a lot of challenges,” Maniloff said. “There are 22 students. I was pleased to see that nobody dropped it after the first class.”

Randy concentrates his practice in the representation of insurers in coverage disputes over primary and excess obligations under a host of policies, including commercial general liability, various professional liability, liquor liability and policies covering Indian Tribes. Randy has significant experience in coverage matters involving construction defects, including additional insured and contractual indemnity issues.
