White and Williams Sponsors MentorConnect

9.19.17

White and Williams is proud to announce its sponsorship of MentorConnect, a mentorship program for local startup leaders powered by the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) and capital provider Ben Franklin Technology Partners.

MentorConnect matches high-potential entrepreneurs in PACT and Ben Franklin’s membership networks with a team of three to five industry leaders and experts. Mentors from diverse backgrounds volunteer their wealth of entrepreneurial insights to guide mentees through the challenges of starting and growing a business. Tailored to the particular needs of each entrepreneur and their venture, mentors are dedicated to providing practical, objective advice on leadership, sales and marketing, operations, and investment while adhering to the ethical standards of MIT Venture Mentoring Service.

MentorConnect provides a unique opportunity for White and Williams’ business lawyers to foster local entrepreneurship through the investment of their time and counsel. As a sponsor, White and Williams participates in “office hours,” providing pro bono legal services and general business advice to mentees.

“Guiding future business leaders and helping them to establish successful ventures resonates with our commitment to the Philadelphia region’s entrepreneurial community,” said Ryan Udell, Co-chair of the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice. “We are proud to be a sponsor of MentorConnect and commend PACT and Ben Franklin for developing this mentorship opportunity.”
