White and Williams Supports Theatre Espresso's 25th Anniversary

On May 4, 2017, White and Williams proudly sponsored the twenty-fifth anniversary celebration of Theatre Espresso – a nonprofit theatre group, based in Boston, that performs interactive educational dramas for Boston Public School students as part of the Supreme Judicial Court’s Road to Tolerance program. By asking students to participate in various legal dramas – jurors at the trial of a British captain following the Boston Massacre in 1770, or  members of Congress investigating working conditions in Lawrence in 1912, or Supreme Court Justices during the Japanese internment in World War II – the company invites students to relate historical legal events to contemporary issues.

White and Williams sponsored and assisted with the anniversary event, which offered a rare public performance of The Trial of Anthony Burns, an original Theatre Espresso production.  At the event, SJC Justice Robert Cordy (ret.) was honored with the company’s Justice in Action Award.

Eric Hermanson, of White and Williams’s Boston office, spearheaded the Firm’s sponsorship efforts and serves on Theatre Espresso’s Advisory Board.
