Subrogation Department Settles Plumbing Failure, Water Damage Case

Lian Skaf, Counsel in the Subrogation Department, recently pursued a plumbing contractor to recover an insurer’s subrogated damages in a case involving a coupling failure that resulted in the breach of a steam pipe. The matter involved several damage assessment issues that Lian aggressively negotiated and which he resolved without litigation. Lian settled the subrogation claim in the mid six-figures.
