White and Williams Represents Gust in Patent Infringement Cases

Gust, Inc., formerly known as AngelSoft, was sued for patent infringement in the Eastern District of Texas by non-practicing patent entity AlphaCap Ventures, LLC.  In its answer, Gust set forth defenses of patent invalidity and non-infringement. Gust’s motion to transfer to the Southern District of New York is pending before the court.

In a separate action, Gust sued AlphaCap in the Southern District of New York, alleging patent invalidity, non-infringement, and other claims including Abuse of Process and Sherman Act violations stemming from AlphaCap’s attempts to assert its invalid patents against those in the crowdfunding industry.
