Gus Sara, Partner, will be presenting at the 2025 NASP Spring Conference as a panelist in the presentation, “The Aftermath of Appraisals – How it Can Impact Subrogation,” which is scheduled for April 3rd from 2:45-3:45 p.m.
Gus’ presentation will discuss the difficulties experienced by subrogation professionals resulting from a contentious coverage dispute and appraisal, as well as issues with made whole, real party in interest, and handling an appraisal award that greatly differs from the carrier’s valuation of the loss. They will also cover the issues addressed in the claim file that can be detrimental to the subrogation case, and what aspects might be protected by privilege.
