Three Lawyers Elected to Partnership and Eight Associates Promoted To Counsel

White and Williams is pleased to announce that Jason Poore, Eric Porter and Jenifer Scarcella have been admitted to the partnership. The firm has also promoted associates Michael Ciamaichelo, Josh Gajer, Joseph Kuffler, Sara Mirsky, Zaara Nazir, Mark Paladino, Sara Tilitz and James Vandermark to the position of counsel. These accomplished lawyers have earned this advancement based on their contributions to the firm and their practices.

Jason Poore is based in the Philadelphia office, with a practice that focuses on complex medical malpractice actions, construction defect cases and general litigation. He also handles matters involving premises liability, insurance broker liability and motor vehicle accidents. Jason earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Eric Porter is a seasoned commercial litigator with experience across a wide range of areas. Resident in the New York City office, he represents clients in state and federal court through all phases of litigation on matters involving intellectual property, construction, contract disputes, insurance fraud and product labeling claims. Eric also provides representation in the context of foreign arbitrations and corporate ownership disputes. He earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Jenifer Scarcella is based in the New York office, where she represents corporations, banks and other commercial entities in matters involving complex litigation, contractual disputes, construction issues, business tort claims, product liability and misappropriation of trade secrets. In addition, Jenifer handles complex commercial litigation health care disputes. She earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.

Based in the Philadelphia office, Michael Ciamaichelo concentrates his practice exclusively in the field of subrogation, focusing on property losses primarily involving fire, explosions, structural collapses, water damage, defective products and construction defects. Michael earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Camden.

Josh Gajer is based in the Philadelphia office and focuses his practice on complex matters, including medical malpractice litigation and general liability matters, as well as white collar criminal defense and internal investigations. Josh earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Joseph Kuffler is based in the Philadelphia office where he is a member of the Subrogation Department. He investigates and litigates catastrophic property damage cases throughout the country arising from a wide variety of losses, including residential and commercial fires, structural collapses, cargo and water damage. Joseph earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Sara Mirsky concentrates her practice in the area of complex insurance coverage litigation and insurance contract disputes. Resident in the Philadelphia office, she represents major insurance carriers in matters involving exposure to asbestos and long-tail environmental matters in state and federal courts. Sara earned her J.D. from New York Law School.

Zaara Nazir is resident in the Newark office, where her practice focuses on complex litigation, contractual disputes and premises liability for financial institutions, large corporations and insurance companies. She also represents life, health and disability insurers in a wide range of matters. Zaara earned her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark.

Mark Paladino is based in the Philadelphia office where he has a general litigation practice including motor vehicle liability, premises liability and professional liability. His practice also handles a variety of complex matters, including life, health and disability insurance coverage claims, punitive damages and bad faith and extra-contractual damages claims. Mark earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Sara Tilitz is based in the Philadelphia office, where her practice includes complex insurance coverage, bad faith and insurance contract disputes. She focuses her practice on the representation of major insurance carriers in matters involving environmental pollution and long-term exposure to hazardous substances. Sara earned her J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School.

James Vandermark concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, tax and commercial law, and financial restructuring matters. Based in the Philadelphia office, he represents a variety of businesses, including financial institutions, corporations, insurance companies and government entities. James earned his J.D. and L.L.M. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
