White and Williams Announces 2025 Partner and Counsel Promotions

White and Williams is proud to announce the following promotions to Partner as of January 1, 2025: Lynndon K. Groff, Natalie B. Molz and Zachery B. Roth. Along with Partner promotions, the Firm has promoted Morgan S. Birch, Laura E. Hutchinson, Robert Kline, Austin D. Moody and Marcia D. Richards from Associate to Counsel.

Partner Promotions

Lynndon K. Groff was promoted from Counsel to Partner and practices from the Firm’s Philadelphia office. Lynndon focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage disputes, including matters involving exposure to hazardous substances such as per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (“PFAS,” also known as “forever chemicals”) and asbestos, environmental pollution and various unique liabilities. His work ranges from pre-suit analysis to trial and appeal. Lynndon serves as a Child Advocate in Philadelphia Family Court on a pro bono basis. He earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School, magna cum laude.

Natalie B. Molz was promoted to Partner and practices from the Firm’s Philadelphia office. Natalie is a trial lawyer who represents large and small businesses in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts. Natalie is recognized as one the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America - 2024 & 2025 for Commercial Litigation and was also named a Pennsylvania "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers® from 2020-2024. She earned her J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Zachery B. Roth was promoted from Counsel to Partner, and practices from the Firm’s Philadelphia office. Zach focuses his practice on advising businesses in the technology, gaming, advertising and financial services industries on legislative and regulatory issues. He routinely assists clients ranging from Fortune 10 technology companies to digital marketing start-ups in developing multi-state and nationwide compliance strategies to govern operations in highly-regulated industries, with a particular focus on online sports betting, iGaming and daily fantasy sports. Zach has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America since 2021. He was also named a Pennsylvania "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers® for 2023 & 2024. He earned his J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, cum laude.

Counsel Promotions

Morgan S. Birch is promoted to Counsel and located in the Firm’s Philadelphia office. Morgan is an experienced litigator with a nationwide practice focused on commercial litigation matters and complex business disputes. Morgan has handled client matters in both state and federal courts relating to fraud, partnership and shareholder disputes, intellectual property litigation and medical malpractice defense litigation. Morgan has been named as one of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America every year since 2022 in the area of Commercial Litigation and has also been recognized as “Best Lawyers in Pennsylvania: Ones to Watch,” by the Pittsburg Post-Gazette in 2023; Top Attorneys Recognized for Excellence in 2023 and Best Lawyers® “Women in the Law, Ones to Watch” in 2022. She earned her J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law

Laura E. Hutchinson is promoted to Counsel and practices from the Firm’s Philadelphia office. She represents physicians, hospitals, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners against professional liability claims, focusing her practice on claims of medical malpractice. Her practice also includes coverage disputes, bad faith matters, and complex commercial litigation. While in law school, Laura represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Certified Legal Intern at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting cases with the Misdemeanor Crimes Unit. Laura is active on several Firm committees including the Associate Development Training Program and the Women’s Initiative, and coordinates education programs focused on legal issues across various practice areas. She earned her J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and currently serves as Vice President of the Temple Law Alumni Association.

Robert Kline is promoted to Counsel and is located in the Firm’s Maryland office, and focuses his practice on commercial litigation, construction law, and surety and fidelity law, and was named a Maryland "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers® from 2022-2025. Robert is also a member of several legal organizations including the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association. He earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Austin D. Moody is promoted to Counsel and is located in the Firm's Boston office where he represents insurers in complex insurance coverage and bad faith disputes in both state and federal courts. Austin advises clients on matters involving a broad range of policies and coverage issues, including construction defects, environmental pollution, catastrophic injuries, and professional malpractice. He has experience advising clients on both first and third-party claims. Austin was named a Massachusetts "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers® for 2023 & 2024. He is an Officer of the Massachusetts Insurance and Reinsurance Bar Association and serves as a Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Marcia D. Richards is promoted to Counsel and is located in the Firm’s Philadelphia office. Marcia focuses her practice in the field of insurance subrogation, representing insurance companies nationwide. Marcia has successfully resolved numerous property loss cases involving fires, product failures and construction defects through litigation, mediation and arbitration. Marcia strives to resolve each case in the manner most favorable to her clients. Additionally, Marcia is an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and serves on the Firm’s Diversity, Associate Development and Women's Initiative committees. Marcia was the recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award at graduation and since law school has continued her pro bono service. She earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.
