OVERVIEW
Mike Kassak has more than 30 years of experience as lead counsel litigating large complex commercial matters including cutting edge insurance coverage and healthcare disputes. He represents insurers and health insurers as lead counsel in jurisdictions throughout the country in high-profile disputes involving concussion claims, sexual molestation claims, opioid claims, media claims, cyber and privacy claims, business tort claims and False Claims Act claims.
Mike has extensive jury and appellate experience with over 30 jury trials and 40 appellate arguments. He has successfully litigated numerous cases in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has a national litigation practice having handled cases in Arizona, Kentucky, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, West Virginia, California, Iowa, Florida, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, New Mexico, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
Mike is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee. He was recently reappointed as Vice-Chair to the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy General Committee of the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Represented insurer in extensive insurance declaratory judgment action arising out of claims brought by former National Football League players relating to concussions and successfully argued motions and appeal on critical forum dispute. National Football League v. Fireman’s Fund, 157 Cal. Rptr. 318 (2013)
- Prevailed on Motion to Dismiss in cutting edge class action insurance coverage dispute involving privacy claims relating to the alleged misuse of zip code information. OneBeacon America Ins. Co. v. Urban Outfitters, Inc., et al., case number 2:13-cv-05269 (E.D. Penn., May 15, 2014)
- Represented insurer in a number of life science product liability claims arising out of national class actions involving allegedly defective vaginal mesh products
- Represented insurer in declaratory judgment action arising out of class action claims involving former National Hockey League players relating to concussions
- Represented insurer in declaratory judgment action arising out of national class action product liability claims by homeowners relating to allegedly defective windows
- Represented Director and Officer liability insurers in multiple claims by insureds relating to False Claims Act and qui tam actions
- Represented multiple insurers under media and miscellaneous professional liability policies relating to claims by insureds against publishers alleging copyright violations
